Happy Halloween! Dog costume!

Halloween is finally here!!!!!  I decided to take a photo of Mango, my little dog, in his pumpkin outfit that I got for him at TJ Maxx.  I was only able to have the costume on him for about 10 minutes because it was making him hot.  The weather has gotten warm again!  Last week, it was like pre winter weather and now, it's summer again!  Well, hopefully the weather cools down again soon because I like it better when it's nice and cold outside :)
He's just such an adorable little pumpkin!  Cute Mango Pumpkin <3
I hope you all have a fun but safe Halloween!!

OOTD: cute casual fall school outfit

I love how chilly it is now!  I can finally wear my fall clothes!  Fall seriously is my favorite season of the year.  I also like winter too, but hate hate hate summer so much.  I know, people think I'm so weird, but summer is just not my season.  I hate being hot and sweating; I'd rather shiver in the cold weather!!  Anyway, let me show you my outfit now...
black military look jacket from JC Penny
white t shirt from Gap
medium wash skinny jeans from Hollister
pearl necklace from Ann Taylor
I wore plain black flats with this outfit.
Yup, that's Mango you're seeing in the background. Haha!  He's just so adorable!!
And here's a close up of the jacket.  I think this jacket looks cute.
I hope you all had a wonderful day! :)

OOTD: plaid outfit of the night!

This was actually an outfit of the night from last night!  You've already seen my outfit from yesterday when I went to school during the day, and now I'm sharing the outfit I changed into for dinner.  I went to a Mongolian buffet, so I wore something that would give me some room to breathe after eating.  I had delicious Mongolian food; it was so good!!
brown leather jacket from Hollister
blue and green plaid dress also from Hollister
sheer black tights from Nordstrom
brown flats with gold buckle detail from Antonio Melani

Rose Gold Nails?

I love wearing rose gold nail color in the fall because it's a way for me to wear pink with a hint to warmth.  The gold brings in the warmth in the pink for the cool fall weather.  Rose gold nails, honestly, look great on every skin tone: dark to fair.  At Target, couple of weeks ago, I saw Sally Hansen's nail strips in rose gold and they looked absolutely gorgeous.  It inspired me to paint my nails with this color for this week!
Look how pretty!!!  I wear this very often in the fall and spring!  This is Sally Hansen's hard as nails in the color warm copper.  I bought this two years ago at my local dollar tree for 1$!  I'm not sure if you can still find this exact polish, but I'm sure you can find similar colors from other brands.  I actually have another rose gold color, but it's a different kind of rose gold.  I'll definitely share that color one week!  Oh, I forgot to mention that the tips of my fingers are extremely dry and they flake like crazy especially in the winter.  It's so annoying, but what can I do...  I just put a moisturizing hand cream on all the time!

OOTD: simple fall outfit

It suddenly got a little chilly today!  I went outside with a thin sweater on this morning, and so I had to go right back inside the apartment to change.  This is why you should always have to check the weather before walking out the door :)
black with brown leather trim coat looking jacket from forever21 (I call it jacket because it's really thin)
under the jacket is just a long sleeve burgundy shirt from Gap
skinny jeans from American Eagle
tan colored shoes with pink bottom soles from Target

I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but my jeans have gotten too big for me because I've lost quite a bit of weight!  It's a good thing that I lost weight, but I don't have many jeans that fit me well.  Which means... Time for shopping!! Haha  :)  Hey, maybe I'll post a before and after pictures of my weight loss?  We'll see!

Review: Tony Moly Luminous Pure Aura cc cream

Here's another review of a cc cream that I recently purchased.  This is a Korean brand and only comes in one color.  I know, you're probably asking one color?  What??  But, no worries!  This is one of those products that come out of the bottle white and once applied to your skin, it turns into your own skin tone.  What a freaking miracle, right?  Some people complain that these miracle color changing products don't quite match their skin, and I actually agree.  So, I was pretty worried when I first tried this product.  I think it matches my skin tone pretty well!!  Maybe since this is an Asian product, the color changes into my skin tone better?  I'm not sure.  Okay, I think if you have fair, light, or medium skin tones, this will match well!  I'm not too sure about darker skin because it might give a white cast...
This is what the packaging looks like.  Pretty cute and simple: white bottle with black pump and cap with silver writing.  It contains 1.75 oz!  That's a good amount of product for the 17$ I paid.  I bought mine on ebay from a seller who sells 100% authentic Korean products and actually ships from Korea.  It also has spf 30 pa++.
You can see above that it comes out in white liquid form.  This does have a scent.  It smells kind of like baby wipes but not too strong.  I'm not very good at describing scents, sorry.
Here you can see it gradually blended out towards the top of the picture.  It looks natural, huh?  I'm liking this so far, but I'm waiting for the weather to get even colder because this product is very moisturizing.  If you have dry skin, I recommend this product year round, but if you have oily skin, it'd be best to use in winter.
I hope this helped!  Try cc creams!  :)

OOTD: Fall Lunch Outfit

I went out for a late lunch today!  OOTDs are hard for me because I don't have a good, big mirror. I wish I had brought the one from home!!  I don't know what I was thinking when I moved out for college.  Whatever, it's alright!  Anyway, I had yummy sushi!  :)
Blue blouse from New York & Co (I love the ruffle detailing)
Navy blue leggings from Gilly Hicks
Black tote satchel purse from Coach
I just wore plain black flats with just small rhinestone studs.

Review: Benefit Stay Flawless 15-hour Primer

This is one of my favorites this year!  I've started using this in August when I went on vacation to Hawaii and let me tell you, IT IS AWESOME!!!  It keeps me oil free for few extra hours, which is amazing because not many primers work well for me.  The only bad thing about this product is that there is only 0.54 oz in it for 32$.  That's on the expensive side for me...  Honestly, I think it's just expensive period.  But, it's quite the product I need especially on hot days.  My sister tried this once during our vacation in Hawaii, but it didn't really work for her; her skin didn't like this.  It basically made her dry spots more visible and look very flaky.  This product, in my opinion, works best for normal to oily skin.  It really does wonders for me!
I have to say that the packaging is adorable and it's really easy to use!  Just apply this all over face or where ever you need to prime, then you take your fingers and gently rub them in.  Then, of course, you apply your foundation or what not all over your face. And there you have it, a flawless canvas to work with! :)

I'm very pleased with this product! I would love to repurchase this product, but I might have to rethink about it because of the price :( But seriously, if you haven't tried this and/or if you're looking for an awesome primer, you should definitely give this a try!

Halloween candy corn accent nails

As you know, Halloween is right around the corner, so I decided to be festive and paint my nails in BRIGHT ORANGE! :)  I wore this color often in the summer because it's such a fun color for summer.
See how pretty this orange color is!  I want to eat candy corns every time I look at my nails.  My nails look yummy <3
These are what I used.
Yellow- Sinful Colors in Let's Meet
Orange- Covergirl outlast in gogo mango
White- Sally Hansen french manicure pen in pure white
Happy Halloween everyone!

Review: Yes to grapefruit CC cream

This is the first CC cream I have ever tried, and I really really like it!  It's sheer barely any coverage, so it's lightweight.  I've been wearing this everyday for the past month or so.  I would spread a layer of this on then I'll dab some concealer on any problem areas.  Going over my face with a power after these two steps is a must for me because I have oily skin.  This CC cream doesn't make me any more oily, and it even has spf 18 in it, which is perfect!
The color I have is in light.  They only offer this in two colors!  This is a great match for me right now, but I'm afraid it's going to be a tad bit too dark in the winter.  There is 1.7 fl oz in it and that's a fairly good amount of product for 15.99$.. I bought mine at Target, but you can also purchase this at Ulta.
As you can see above, it looks pretty natural and thin.  It reduces the redness of my face, which is what CC creams are supposed to do.
So, I recommend this product to you all!  I think it's a great CC cream.  I can't compare it to any other CC creams because I haven't tried any other ones, but if I do, I will do a comparison!

Gilly Hicks Haul

I got a package in my mail today!! :D  I recently shopped on gillyhicks.com.  Mainly because they had a good selection of clothes on sale.  Everything I got was on sale!!  And plus, they were having a 30% off sale!  I think it was a really good deal :)
All of the things came in a think grey bag and everything was very well packaged in plastic bags.
These are the leggings I got.  They look like dark purple, but they're actually navy blue... My camera isn't really picking up the exact color.  Anyway, one of them is just their classic leggings and the other one has a shiny material down the side of the legs.  They are both high rise and made with nice thick, soft material.  It's going to be perfect for the colder weather coming.  These were 14$.
This cami in the color heather grey is so soft! Nothing special about this, just a basic tank top.  I only paid 4.20$ for this one.
Again, the true color isn't picking up by my camera, but it's navy blue.  Navy blue and white crossback active tank tops.  These are also extremely soft!!!  These are very thin, so the white one is actually pretty sheer.  These were 8.09$.
This shirt is also super soft.  I guess all of Gilly Hick's things are very soft.  This shirt fits so nicely!  It's longer in the back and shorter in the front, nice length.  This shirt was 4.20$.  Good deal, huh?
Well, this wraps up my haul!  You should definitely check out gillyhicks.com if you're looking for some nice leggings.  They also have some cute sweaters too.  Oh, and all the things that I got are true to size!

My Morning Skincare Routine

My morning skincare routine is fairly simple! I have a bit of an oily skin, but these products don't make me look too oily.
Here is an overview of my morning skincare products!
First, I cleanse my face with my new Yes to daily clarifying cleanser.  So far, I really like this cleanser.  It makes my face feel so smooth.  I'm hoping to see my skin more clear throughout the use of this.
After I wash my face, I like to tone with this witch hazel.  It's a cheaper alternative to an actual toner, but it works just as well maybe even better!  I used to use the Bert's Bees toner with salicylic acid, but I had to stop using it because I was allergic to salicylic acid.  So I gave this a try.
Next, I moisturize my face with this vitamin E illuminating moisture cream from The Body Shop.  I have mixed feelings about this...  This gives me a very nice settle glow only if I don't over use it.  If I put too much on, my face will have a purple hue/tint (I'm not really sure how to describe it correctly :/).  But, my face seriously looks so nice when I use a correct amount of this.  Nice and glowy!
Then, I'll apply a very thin layer of this sunscreen on my entire face to protect it from the sun (duh!).  I have hyper pigmentation (red spots) from past acne and I don't want them to get any darker, so I have to wear sunscreen.  Another thing I love about this is that it doesn't make my skin any more oily.
And the final step is to moisturize the lips!  I have a few lip balms opened currently, but I chose these two to share because I use these most often.  The Nivea lip butter in vanilla&macadamia kiss smells so good! It smells so delicious, I just want to eat it.  The Body Shop's born lippy in strawberry also smells amazing!!! It really smells like real strawberries.  This one gives a red tint and so it's nice when you're not planning to wear any lipstick.
Alright, this is the end of my morning skincare routine.  Pretty simple, huh? :)

Mango the wienerhuahua terrier :)

I'd like to introduce my little doggie, Mango!  I adopted a puppy on July 7, 2012 at a local shelter near where I live.  He was about four months old when I adopted him, and he is a Chihuahua, some sort of Terrier, and Wiener mix (a.k.a wienerhuahua terrier haha).  Take a look at how cute my little doggie is!!!
Above are some pictures of him I put together in chronological order.  1 is when we first met at the shelter and 2 is the first day at home.  8 is when he went to the vet to get his blood drawn for a yearly check up (hence the red bandage around his leg) and this was when he was six months old.
This is us from two weekends ago when we went on a road trip to see my sister!
I'm so glad he rolled into my life.  He's so adorable! He brightens my day everyday and I love him so so so much! <3

Fall into Nails!

I did my nails today!! :D  Since it's fall has finally spooked upon, I decided to paint my nails in a darker color.

It's Sephora by OPI's I'm with Brad (2 coats applied).  It's a very dark vampy burgundy color with very fine shimmer.  It has very very fine red shimmer, so on the nails, shimmer isn't visible.  My sister just got this for my for my birthday, and I finally got to use it.  I really like this color for fall!
And here is my nails from last week.  I thought I'd share because the colors are so pretty!  The light pink color I used as the base is Wet n Wild megalast in sugar coat (3 coats applied) and the gold glitter on the tips of my nails is the Nicole by OPI in kissed at midnight from the Selena Gomez collection.  The gold glitter is really pretty because it contains both gold and silver glitter.  The silver glitter is the more chunky glitter and the gold is more fine, but the overall color of the polish is gold.  I love these two polishes! They're so pretty!

Small Ulta Haul

Today, I went to Ulta!! I went in to just look around because it's right next to my local grocery store, and yeah.. I walked out with some new skincare products. Does this ever happen to anybody else or is it just me? Anyway, I thought I'd share what I got :)
Now, these are actually something I needed to get anyway because my night cream and cleanser is running low.  Yes to products never break me out, so I always try to stick to them and not try new skincare products too often.  I am currently using Yes to tomatoes daily balancing moisturizer and Yes to carrots daily cream facial cleanser; and I have to say I love them a lot!  This time I decided to try the two above! Yes to tomatoes daily clarifying cleanser and Yes to carrots repairing night cream!!! I'm excited to try these.
These are another two skincare products I purchased.  I've never tried these brands before.  I actually don't even know if they're two different brands...  The cleansing towelettes are by Retinol and the cleanser is by Retinol-X. Hmm...  Anyway, these are both anti aging!  It's never a bad idea to start taking care of your precious skin!
This Tarte powderful amazonian clay pressed mineral powder in the color light is actually for my lovely mom.  She's currently using The Body Shop's all in one powder foundation and she really likes it, but she wants to try something new, so I got her this one.  Hopefully, she likes it.

These are all I got today! Maybe I'll do reviews of the skincare products! :D
